So, it is needed a tool to control the instability of the generator output voltage that is Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) that works by regulating the excitacy of the Exciter. AVR plays an important role in controlling the generator voltage stability because when the load fluctuation occurs, the AVR as a controller will regulate the excitation current so as to keep the generator output voltage stable. The output voltage value of the generator generated depends on the terrain current and the reactive power given, in which the excitation system of the field flows in the form of excitation flow. The excitation current settings of 1600, 845A, with a reactive power of 40, 403MVAR can produce a generator output voltage of 20,406kV and when the current setting of excitation 1654, 633A with 60.225 MVAR reactive power can produce generator output voltage of 20, 363kV. The greater the reactive power given, the resulting output voltage is lower, with the low output voltage then the excitation flow is automatically raised by the AVR. Based on the data retrieval conducted in February and March 2019, the results were obtained that the AVR was able to keep the generator voltage steady at the 20kV range.} }
