In terms of how long of the distribution channel from the substation to the distribution transformer or from the distribution transformer to the load which can also cause a large voltage drop. Voltage drop is strongly influenced by the length of conductor and the value of impedance where the value is influenced by the value of resistance and reactance value of the channel, bigger value of reactance and resistance, the voltage drop will be increase. That voltage drop has happened in JS 8 of 5.05 volts or 2,32%, in JS 58 by 9.44 volts or 4.31% and in JS 92 voltage drops value is 10.24 or 4.65%. Therefore, to resolve the voltage drop there must be tap changer settings are made to increase the voltage and reduce the voltage drop. It?s not standard value voltage drop allowed (SPLN 72: 1987) for a Low Voltage Network maximum of 4%. After setting the tap changer on JS 8 the voltage increase by 5 volts, the voltage drops become 0.05 volts or 0.021%, on JS 58 the voltage increase by 5.61 volts, the voltage drops become 4.01 volts or 1.79% and at JS 92 voltage increase by 11.57 volts, voltage drops become 1.26 volts or 0.54%.} }
