Factors that influence the grounding resitance value are soil type, size and type of electrode and the depth of electrode planting. Addition of stem electrodes and additives namely salt and charcoal is done to decrease the grounding resistance value. The test location at the concreate distribution substation PS 51 PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Cempaka Putih with soil type is river bank soil and made some modifications between old electrodes (EL) and new electrodes (EB). The measurement result of the average grounding resistance value of G1, G2 and EL are 0,566 ? and 1,03 ? with calculations; the average grounding resistance value of A1, A2 and EL are 1,076 ? with measurement and 1,35 ? by calculations; G1, A1 and EL are 0,62 ? with measurement and 1,04 ? by calculations; G1, A2 and EL are 0,76 ? with measurement and 1,06 ? by calculations; G2, A1 and EL are 0,89 ? with measurement and 1,3 ? by calculations; G2, A2 and EL are 0,98 ? with measurement and 1,3 ? by calculations and the measurement result of grounding resistance value of G1, G2, A1, A2 and EL are 0,34 ? and 0,62 ? with calculations.} }
