Thermal overload secures the circuit over load disturbances that caused by loads that too large by breaking the circuit breaker whenever the overload disturbances exceed the value of the current contract and the tolerance of time setting that set by the PLN. The impact of over loads disturbance will cause damage to the equipment slowly. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the ss thermal overload relay work time to limit the time tolerance of overload disturbances that occured to the customer.The work time setting of thermal overload relay must be in accordance with the rules of PLN in the TDL (Basic Electricity Rate) of 2003 which regulates the time limits on the overload disturbance. This final project will discussed how to setting the right work time arrangement of thermal overload relay that exist in middle voltage (TM) customers.Appropriate settings were obtained by comparing the test results of thermal overload relay working time on field and the result of working time calculation of the thermal overoad relay then the result must be adjusted with the existing standard.} }
