Existing pipes in the boiler is a vital component, because the pipe is used as a container for the vapor or liquid flow throughout the existing system, with high operating temperatures. It depends on the type of material used technique. Boiler pipe that operates at high temperature and pressure in the long ? term problem that often occurs is a leak which resulted in the plant should cease to operate as it did in Steam Power Plant UBOH Banten 3 Lontar Unit 1. Boiler pipe leaks at the plant occurs in the primary superheater boiler pipe area. To overcome this, the boiler piping must be analyzed by observing the microstructure, chemical composition analysis and micro-hardness test with Vickers method to determine the cause of the leak. Analysis failure of superheater pipes outbreak was caused by high temperature and pressure with a long operating time.
