		abstract={Refrigeration is one of the energy conversion machine that is used to transfer heat from a low temperature to a higher temperature with the aid of external work (compressor). Advances in technology and the application of refrigeration systems experiencing tremendous growth. One way to improve the performance of engine cooling is by superheating and subcooling. This study aims to determine the value of the performance of the engine coolant. The method used is a real experimental method. In this study, the level of actual cycles, subcooling which varied with the opening of the valve is the valve opening half and full valve opening and also varied by the addition of a load of 15W, 25W, 40W, 50W, 60W and 80W. This study, the greater the degree subcooling, the resulting performance is getting bigger and bigger increase its load, the resulting performance is getting down.}
