DC resources (Direct Current) in the substation are generally obtained from several battery cells arranged in series. The built-in battery of this substation is used as a supply for protective releases, PMT driving motors (power breaker switches) and PMS (disconnect switch), emergency lighting, as well as to supply power used for the substation telecommunication equipment. To keep equipment such as protective releases, PMT driving motors and PMS (separation pad) and telecommunication equipment still working, the batteries must be able to supply power to the equipment even in the case of no charger or in a voltage loss state. As time goes by, the efficiency of the battery will decrease. From the results of testing BCT (Battery Capacity Test) unit 2 batteries obtained results in a battery discharge test capacity of 115.2 Ah with a testing time of 2 hours 53 minutes. While testing for Alkali batteries is carried out for 5 hours with a stop voltage of 1 V per cell. Judging from the results of testing that the unit 2 battery has decreased in capacity from 200 Ah to 115.2 Ah with the calculation of efficiency of 57.6%. Therefore in this study will be studied how the efficiency of the battery in unit 2 Substation Cengkareng.} }
