		abstract={Various forms of human activity can never be separated from the use of water. These conditions force that an area can maintain the quality and quantity of water resources. The availability of water resources in an area must be able to
fulfill the expected water needs, so there is a balance between the two. The data used to analyze the availability and water needs in the Karian dam are population
data, technical dam data, climatology data, rainfall data and discharge data. The equation used to get the projection of population data in 2020, 2025 and 2030 uses the Geometric Rate of Growth method. The results obtained are the
condition of the water balance in the Karian dam is sufficient for water needs in 2020, 2025 and 2030}
