		abstract={On the steam power plant in the plant UBOH 3 LONTAR found a component on unit 1 where there is leakage of water wall tube This resulted Trip Unit or in this case fatal damage to the equipment. In the water wall tube failures beginning in the form of tube leaks because there is tube orifice disability then the tube in the rebuild and the results of the rebuild is not good because there is still a gap between the tube with material rebuild so that there is a failure in the weld joint that occurs on rebuild regional water wall tube resulting tube does not withstand the temperature and vapor pressure continuously and cause leaking pipes. Factors that could cause failures include the environment and temperature, welding position is wrong, the electrodes are not in accordance with the base metal material, operational factors and others. To overcome this, the authors tested the water wall tube material with metallographic examination, SEM, EDS, chemical composition analysis (spark oes), and hardness (vickers method)  which is expected from the results of such testing may reveal the process of failure.}
