So to save electricity consumption, natural resources in the form of solar energy can be used by using solar power plants. The On Grid Solar Power Plant system on the roof of the building (roof top) is one way to utilize this solar energy. The construction of PLTS on the roof (roof top) is implemented by utilizing the roof of the building as land for installing solar panels. In designing the PLTS for the Samarinda City Regional Inspectorate Building, an accurate calculation is needed by using the Helioscope Software, which is looking for the number of solar modules to be installed, calculating the power generated per day and per year, performance ratio and also calculating the initial investment value needed later capital return initial investment return. As for the results of this PLTS on grid planning, the solar panel capacity is 10 kWp, a performance ratio of 93%, with an initial investment cost of RP.140.140.000 and the payback period is 8 years} }
