In the gasification process,the fuel used is wood biomass,the gas produced from the gasification process can be used as generator feed. The temperature allowed to enter the generator maximum 60-65°C (Rismawan and Wulandari 2013). Therefore we need a cooling system on the gasifer to keep the temperature entering the generator below the specified limit.This study aims to design and manufacture a gasifer cooler,measure the inlet and outlet temperature of gasifer cooler and calculate LMTD of gasifer cooler. The results showed that the highest value from the test was 47,3°C, with the highest outlet temperatur 47,3°C this has met the requirements for the entrance temperature of generator maximum 60-65°C (Rismawan and Wulandari 2013). The lowest LMTD in the first minute was in coconut shell charcoal biomass at 1,67°C and the highest after 40 minuts was used for empety bunch charcoal biomass at 6,4 °C. The lmtd value of this cooler was influenced by the inlet and cooling water temperature.} }
