The number of fault is an indicator to measure the reliability of a Medium Voltage Network system. The higher the fault number is, the lower the system reliability will be and vice versa. The most common fault that happens to underground cable is single phase to ground short circuit that causes healthy feeder to trip as well due to fault in another feeder at the same time in one rail. This phenomenon is called as Sympathetic Trip. To avoid sympathetic trip, when single phase to ground fault occurs, the GFR should be set inversely. For the application, 4 feeders were used: Lingke Feeder, Darussalam Feeder, Lamnyong Feeder and Prada Feeder which are supplied by Banda Aceh Substation. This research used quantitative method by setting and testing of the GFR time on the tripping feeder at the same time, which are Lingke and Lamnyong Feeders. Based on the calculation result, the relay time when there was a fault on another feeder was -1,6057 second for Lingke Feeder and -1,2503 second for Lamnyong Feeder.} }
