Electric motors are considered as industrial working horses because they use 70% of the total industrial electricity load. The loadcharacteristic of electric motors is inductive. When the inductive load is too much, the value of the power factor decreases. This decreased power factor value resulted in greater use of reactive power. If the value of power factor is less than 0.85 then PT. PLN (Persero) will give a penalty due to excessive reactive power consumption. To reduce the cost of electricity bills, the value of power factor needs to be repaired. In this study will use power factor repair methods by finding the value of capacitor capacity required by the company. The company to be analyzed is PT. HRM, where the company is engaged in automotive which means it is likely there are many inductive loads in it. Data obtained from AMR on the UP3 Menteng, with power factor values ranging from 0.78 - 0.84 and the largest capacitor capacitor capacitor value required is 52.51 kVAR. With the installation of a bank capacitor investment worth Rp. 58,993,000, the company has a payback period of 3.5 years from the time of installation of the bank capacitor.} }
