Medium voltage cable network on feeders in the Pasar Kemis substation uses NA2XSEFGbY 3x240 mm2 cable. This ground cable is protected by overcurrent relay and ground fault relay. This relay is equipped with a disturbance recorder that records the disturbance record in the form of current waves and the frequency and time of the event with a value at any time with an accuracy of 1 ms. This research was conducted to analyze disturbances, including calculating the distance of the location of the disturbance using Simple Reactance method based on the results of the relay recording. The data is then compared to the actual condition. Relay recording is very helpful in identifying the type of interference and protection operations. Additional calculations concerning cable impedance, voltage and effects of loads have been carried out to complete the distance calculations.. Compared to the actual condition the analysis is in good accordance only in fault distance calculation there is significant differences.
