One factor that affects its characteristics is the change in generator load. In this research simulation modeling is done using MATLAB software and laboratory testing to find the characteristics of synchronous generators. research carried out by modeling simulation with software because with simulation modeling can perform various kinds of synchronous generator testing with various processes and conditions. In the simulation, the results of the voltage and current values in the synchronous generator are 224.5 V 0.592 A, 223 V 0.881 A, and 222.4 V 1.058 A. Compared with laboratory testing, 225.4 V 0.423 A, 213.1 V 0.669 A and 206.6 V A 0.778 A. Based on the results of comparison of simulation modeling data and laboratory testing, it is found that the characteristics of the effect of changes in resistive, inductive and capacitive loads on synchronous generators which make a decrease in the value of the output voltage of the generator caused by large current supply and anchor reactions on synchronous generators.} }
