One of them is Lintas Rel Terpadu (LRT) Jakarta. In the construction and distribution of power LRT Jakarta uses a voltage of 20kV with the third rail method. The third rail is a new system used in Indonesia so that not many people know how its work, the components, and also the maintenance. In the LRT Jakarta the third rail is divided into 5 sections with a distance of 5.8 km and uses 6 source substations. The third rail can operate if it is energized by DC current, but the supply from PLN that the LRT receives is AC current. Therefore, a rectifier component is needed to direct the AC current into DC current. In this research, the process of distributing power from resources to electric trains will also be explained. The input voltage of 20 kV is then lowered by the Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) to 590 VAC which is then turned over to 750 VDC to supply the third rail.} }
