With increased production capacity resulting in increased electricity load in the refinery unit VI Balongan. The planned electricity load needs to be seen from the reliability side of the power system. The reliability criteria of the power system are the loss of load expectation index and the reserve margin. The result of LOLE index and reserve margin for condition 5 STG (steam turbine generator) before the addition of the load is 0,422 days/year and 43,55%, after the addition of the load then obtained 8,24 days/year and 27,77%. Because after the addition of the load the LOLE index and reserve margin exceeds the RUPTL 2019 Standard, then it is necessary to do a power system planning. The planned power system capacity is the addition of 1-unit STG or PLN interconnection. The results obtained state that PLN interconnection has a FOR limit that is greater than the addition of 1-unit STG, for the addition of 1 unit STG with Indonesian standard is 5,37%, for Singapore standard obtained 7,9%, and for American standard obtained 2,44%. For the condition of PLN interconnection with Indonesian standard is 13,35%, for Singapore standard obtained 17,82%, and for American standard obtained 7,377%.} }
