The importance of the selection of inverter types aims to reduce investment costs, operation and maintenance costs, and operation efficiency in real conditions. The Cirata PLTS is specially designed as a Research Center area of large-scale solar power plant with a capacity of 1.04 MWp uses 1 unit of Central Inverter 500 kW and 25 units of 20 kW String Inverter for AC power conversion. This research aims to use based on the comparison result between Central Inverter and String Inverter from the quality Factor inverter performance. The results of the performance of the Central Inverter is able to produce an average power above 50% DC inputs of 80.412% and energy ? 75% by 71.39% while the String Inverter < 50% of 84.639% with energy ? 75% at 33.33%. The decline in the operational performance of Central Inverter is 13.36% with decreased Performance Ratio (PR) 6.67% while String Inverter 37.65% and decrease in Performance Ratio (PR) 33%. Reliability of the Central Inverter is higher than String Inverter caused interference in 9 units of String Inverter. The ratio of economic comparisons between Central Inverter and 25 unit String Inverter is 1,2 : 1. Besides, Central Inverter is more reliable than String Inverter. For follow-up optimization is with the addition of solar module units and inverter units that experience anomalies and trouble.
