The transformer is used to transform the high-voltage electricity power to lower voltage or vice versa, and it is expected to operating in optimal contidion. To maintain the performance of the transformer, a protection system is needed to protect the transformer from interference, which is a form of a differential relay. Differential relays that has a function as a main protection system have a very fast and selective characteristic in overcoming and knowing the interference. So the differential relay have to be sets precisely, to prevent the failure of the protection system and increase the reliability of the distribution system. the quantitative methode is used by showing the required parameters in the form of numbers. In GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) 150 kV Jatiwatringin has a 60 MVA power transformer. In this study, the data is used to determine the nominal current in the transformer, the CT ratio, CT Secondary Current, Slope, differential current, and current setting. After theoritical/y calculated, the nominal current value of In+sou 230.94 A and Inc2one 1732.05 A, for CT150 kV ratio value is 300. 1 and CT 20 kV ratio is 2000: 1.
