PLTS is a modular power plant, making it easy to install. PLTS can also be applied for the installation of small times for household use needs, so that the potential of natural resources can be utilized properly. There are various types of PLTS components for small scale installations, including batteries and SCC. SCC is basically an electronic device to control the current and voltage that flows to the battery when in a state of charging so that there is no excessive charging on the batt ery which can reduce the age of battery usage. In this study, we will compare how the efficiency and characteristics of the SCC PWM and MPPT type are different, by connecting each SCC with a solar module and a battery that has the same specifications, then measuring the voltage and current of the solar module and the battery to be compared. The purpose of this study is to see how the efficiency and characteristics of the two types of SCC differ. The result is that MPPT type SCC has a higher voltage graph compared to PWM type SCC, besides that MPPT type SCC has higher efficiency values compared to PWM type SCC.} }
