The air preheater also functions to reduce the flue gas temperature of the combustion from the boiler so as not to pollute the environment. The use of air preheater B in PLTU Banten 3 Lontar OMU unit 3 has been used continuously for many years, this will affect the effectiveness of the air preheater even after maintenance. To improve the effectiveness of the air preheater, it is necessary to overhaul it. Activities carried out during the overhaul were replacing the radial seal. From the operating data, it can be studied about the overhaul activity on the effectiveness of the air preheater with a load variation of 213 MW, a load of 254 MW, and a load of 295 MW. Overhaul activities affect the effetiveness of the air preheater. From the analysis data obtained that the effectiveness value of air preheater B in PLTU Banten 3 Lontar OMU unit 3 at a load of 213 MW before overhaul is 0.9023 and after overhaul is 0.9132, at a load of 254 MW before overhaul is 0.9112 and after overhaul is 0.9132, and a load of 295 MW before overhaul is 0.9138 and after overhaul is 0.9317. After the overhaul was carried out, there was an increase in the effectiveness of air preheater B at PLTU Banten 3 Lontar OMU unit 3.} }
