The quality of coal affects the slagging, good quality coal, namely coal that has a high calorific value while a low ash content. Although this slagging can be reduced by using a sootblower, it cannot be completely eliminated. This problem looks small but slagging has a big influence on boiler performance. Slagging can affect the heat transfer that occurs because the slagging results in not all of the heat generated from combustion being completely absorbed by the fluid in the water wall tube so that it can decrease the efficiency of the boiler. In this thesis, calculation and analysis of boiler efficiency and Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient are carried out before and the presence of slagging in unit 1 PLTU Banten 2 Labuan. The calculation of efficiency that is carried out only uses the indirect method and it is found that the boiler efficiency before there is slagging is higher when compared to the efficiency of the boiler after there is slagging. In the calculation of the Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient, when there is slagging, there is an increase compared to before there was slagging, causing an increase in the use of coal used for combustion to meet this heat demand.} }
