Meanwhile, coal is the fuel used to generate electricity at the thermal power plant. Coal calories used by thermal power plant in Suralaya are 4.600 - 5100 calories with an average usage of 2.000 tons/hour. Blending Low-calorie with high-calorie coal was another method to produce quality of coal with a heating value according to the design of thermal power plant. The coal blending method influenced of boiler efficiency. In this paper, analysis of the types of low-rank coal and medium rank coal is calculated at a mixture ratio of 25L : 75M, 50L : 50M, and 75L : 25M. And the results of coal blending, which is a mixing method of two coal types that have different quality, are obtained that the ratio of the coal mixture with a 25L : 75M was more efficient than the other mixtures. This happened because there was a high boiler efficiency value in this mixture, where the highest boiler efficiency value was obtained at 85.498%. It confirmed that the percentage of coal types was very affects, and the application of coal blending could increase the efficiency of the boiler.} }
