This research compares two methods to calculate the thickness of rigid pavement, namely the 1993 and AASHTO Road Pavement Design Manual (1993) method on the JORR II toll road project, Kunciran-Serpong package 2 Parigi-Serpong. MDP 2017 is the latest method revised from the previous regulation issued by the Ministry of Public Works, Directorate General of Highways in 2017. Meanwhile, AASHTO 1993 is a method originating from the United States and has been used generally throughout the world and adopted as a planning standard in various country. Based on the calculation analysis of rigid pavement thickness of 20 years plan life, AASHTO obtained results of 28 cm and MDP of 28.5 cm. For a 40-year plan, AASHTO has a thickness of 37 cm and an MDP of 29.5 cm. The difference in the calculation of the two methods is caused by differences in parameters and provisions of the design procedures of each method. MDP calculation is easier to use because it refers to Bina Marga regulations and also MDP regulations have been adjusted to the characteristics of Indonesia.} }
