		abstract={Pelabuhan Ratu Steam Power Plant (PLTU) condenser unit 2 is a shell and tube heat exchanger with a cross flow type that uses seawater as the cooling fluid used to condense the steam from the low pressure steam turbine output. In august 2019, an overhaul was carried out according to a predetermined schedule based on the duration of the operation, the overhaul process included inspections, plugging and cleaning of the condenser tubes. By using the number of transfer unit (NTU) method to determine the effect of activities during the tubes plugging on the condenser performance seen from the value of its effectiveness. It will be seen what influences affect the decrease in the value of the condenser effectiveness after tubes plugging is carried out. The value of condenser effectiveness calculations before tubes plugging was at an average of o,4134 (41,34%) compared to after tubes plugging only reached an average of o,4059 (40,59%), there was a decrease in the average value of the effectiveness of the condenser by 0,0075 (0,75%).}
