The powder used is Mg powder and B. powder. The material is mixed and crushed for 3 hours then put into a stainless steel 316 tube. Furthermore the tube is given a mechanical rolling treatment so that the initial tube diameter of 8 mm decreases to 5mm to make the monofilament wire, then from the wire diameter which is 5mm, the wire is pulled using a drawing machine up to 3mm in size, at the size of 3mm the wire is sintered using a furnace machine with a temperature of 800oC for 3 hours. Then the samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, and Cyryogenic. From the test results obtained that the manufacture of MgB2 superconducting monofilament wire with a dominant phase MgB2 with a dominant phase MgB2 86% and has a MgO impurity phase around 16%. MgO is formed due to oxidation that occurs in the MgB2 powder in the wire during the sintering process and in this wire has a Tc Zero 35.85 K.} }
