One?of the most?important parts?of a power?transformer is the insulation?system. As it??ages and??operates the conditions?of the insulation?can deteriorate?which can?lead to?malfunctioning and damage?to the?transformer. The purpose?of this?study is to determine?the quality conditions?of the insulation?resistance in power?transformers. The?method in?this research?is a literature??study which?is used?by the researcher??to deepen?the material?related to?the research?title and?data collection in?PLTU?Bukit Asam Sector. The data?taken are in?the form?of polarization?index, breakdown?voltage and?tangent delta?test results. After?the data?has been?collected,?calculationsand analyzes?are carried?out to get?better?results. The results?of the polarization index test?on the unit 1?transformer are?sufficient?(acceptable) with?an average?value above 1.1 - 1.25 while?the unit 2?transformer shows?good conditions?with an average?value of ? 2.0. The results?of the?breakdown voltage?test on?the transformer?units 1 and 2 show?that the conditions?are still in?good condition?with an average?value of ? 60 kV. Tangent?delta test?results on?Transformer units 1 and 3 show ?hat the?conditions are?still good?with an average?value of ? 5%.} }
