With a high value of heat rate impact on the efficiency of steam turbine PLTGU Cilegon with maximum power achieved steam turbine 217 MW. Factors that can cause the steam turbine to decrease efficiency is due to the steam requirement and the value of heat value that is too high causes the value of heat rate greater than the efficiency value. Analysis of the effect of different operating load on steam turbine efficiency using Cycle Tempo in PLTGU Cilegon needs to be done. It aims to be able to analyze the actual steam turbine efficiency ratio with the efficiency of cycle tempo application design. To evaluate the efficiency of steam turbines, the authors used the method of calculating the turbine heat rate and thermal efficiency for comparison with the cycle tempo. After the comparison of actual efficiency with the application can be known the value of efficiency on the application of the cycle time is greater than the actual efficiency value with the difference of 9% - 13% with an average decline 27,25 %. In order to maximize efficiency, it is necessary to recalculate the rate of steam leaks and steam requirements to generate power as needed.} }
