Gunung Wugul PLTM has a capacity of 3 MW which each unit has a capacity of 1.5 MW and consists of 2 units. This plant generates electricity from the utilization of river hydropower so that it can rotate the turbine at a speed of 750 rpm and produce a frequency of 50 Hz and the terminal voltage is 20 kV. The load can affect the output voltage produced by the generator, if the given load rises then the output voltage generated by the generator will drop, on the contrary if the given load drops then the output voltage generated by the generator will rise. In order to keep the output voltage of this generator stable, a generator output voltage regulator is needed commonly called automatic voltage regulator (AVR). The things that can affect the magnitude of the excitation current produced are the value of the generator's output voltage, and frequency. Because of the three parameters are interconnected, then if the generator output voltage value or frequency decreases, the resulting excitation current will automatically decrease in value.} }
