So that the distribution of electrical energy is quite dangerous because it can damage the components in the Indonesian Substation. The tool used to secure equipment from lightning surges or surge connections is the Lightning Arrester. The main function of this Lightning Arrester is to protect equipment or electrical components to avoid lightning surges or overvoltages. In this case, the Lightning Arrester which is still widely used in Indonesia is in the form of Zinc Oxide (ZnO). For the maintenance of this Lightning Arrester, it is necessary to ensure that the conditions remain in normal conditions or maintain reliability in securing electrical components or equipment. One of them is the Lightning Arrester resistive leakage current measurement. Measurements are carried out by means of the leakage current measurement method or Leakage Current Monitoring (LCM). This is because the resistive leakage current causes the degradation of the Zinc Oxide varistor so that it causes heat, thereby reducing the performance or performance of the Lightning Arrester. The maximum limit for resistive leakage current depends on the type of Lightning Arrester brand used. From the measurement results obtained by this researcher, all Lightning Arresters in the Durikosambimasi Substation meet the standards from the manufacturer and from PLN of 150 ?A. The problem in this research is that the Lightning Arrester that is used or who works at the Durikosambi Substation is old or has aged. So it is necessary to hold regular maintenance or full attention to the Lightning Arrester} }
