		abstract={The vacuum pump at the PLTU is to vacuum the condenser which aims to remove gas molecules from a closed room to an outside area in order to achieve a vacuum pressure, the unit 4 vacuum pump at PLTU UPK Asam-asam experiences high vibrations where the vibration is 5.50 mm/s and has entered in the category D (danger) zone, after inspection the vacuum pump experienced unbalance and several other components were damaged such as bearings and shaft sleeves. After balancing by a third party, replacing the bearing and shaft sleeve, the vibration decreased by 4.47 mm/s but is still in zone D, therefore the vacuum pump must be analyzed further to get to the root of the problem.}
