Therefore Transformer protection is needed to detect disturbances that can cause damage to the transformer and other losses. One of the transformer protection is a differential relay which has a balance principle in the safety system (protection) and can compare the secondary current from a current transformer connected to the protected electrical equipment or installation. Differential relays must be very selective and fast in their work, therefore differential relays need to be set up to work optimally. This study uses quantitative research methods ranging from collecting data, processing data, to analyzing the results. This thesis discusses the calculation of the differential setting in theory and the discussion of the settings at the Sepatan II Substation. Which is where the results of theoretical calculations get the value of slope 1 of 14.14%, slope 2 of 28.29% and with a current setting of 0.117 A. However, the setting at the Sepatan II Substation is set with a slope of 1 of 30%, slope 2 of 80% and with a setting current of 0.3 A because other factors have been considered in the transformer and its calculations.} }
