One of the efforts that can be made to reduce the use of mineral oil as an insulation transformer oil is to find alternatives, one of which is with vegetable oils that are easy to obtain. In this study conducted feasibility test of pure type rice bran vegetable oil, rice bran with meal oil type, sunflower seed with pure type, and sunflower seed oil with meal oil type, and hyrax transformer oil with new conditions as comparative data based on IEC standardization 60-296:2003 and SPLN 49-1:1982, with variable tests the effect of temperature rise on density values, viscosity values, breakdown voltages, dielectric forces, and measuring the insulation toughness of vegetable oils against water contaminants. Testing is conducted according to IEC 156 standardization with BAUR Oil Tester, Ostwald Viscometer, and Piknometer test equipment. The results of this study showed that rising temperatures affect the density and viscosity of oil with the opposite correlation, and are directly proportional to the breakdown voltage value and dielectric strength of the oil. While water contaminants greatly affect the strength of oil in withstanding high voltage.} }
