One of the protection systems on the transformer is a differential relay which functions to overcome short circuit faults. The power transformer used to conduct the research is TD 2, where in the transformer an error occurred in data entry when setting the relay setting, causing the relay not to work. Due to this error, the relay settings will be reset. To be able to calculate and determine the value of the differential relay setting, it is necessary to calculate the CT ratio, mismatch error, secondary current, differential current, slope, setting current, as well as mathematical calculations of the disturbance. From the calculation, it is found that the differential relay setting value is 11.73% when compared to the 30% differential relay setting value, so the calculation results have a smaller error factor value.} }
