		abstract={Buildings in Indonesia have a high potential for damage due to lightning strikes. One of the high-rise buildings is an apartment building which is currently not only used as a residence, but also has many other supporting facilities to support apartment residents. Sky House Alam Sutera Apartment located in Tangerang City is a multi-storey building that is used as a residence with several other supporting facilities such as a swimming pool and rooftop. At the Sky House Alam Sutera Apartment which has a building height of 117 m, and has a total of 38 floors, therefore this building can potentially be hit by a lightning strike. To prevent the impact of damage from the danger of lightning strikes, a safety system must be installed in high-rise buildings. One of the external lightning protection systems using the Early Streamer Emission (ESE System) type. The Risk Level of Lightning Strike in the Sky House Apartment Building based on the General Regulations for Lightning Protection Installations (PUIPP, 1983) is 19, which means that the estimation of the danger is very large and security is very necessary.
