		abstract={The test transformer is a step up transformer used to generate high voltage, which can only be used for small power but with a large voltage value, this transformer is usually used for short-term tests for high voltage equipment and experiences heating when operated for testing. This thesis aims to determine the value of the polarization index and the tangent delta value of the test transformer windings which are heated when operated,
and to determine the condition of the insulation resistance of the test transformer windings. The measurement of the polarization index aims to determine the amount of
leakage current. The condition of the insulation resistance on the test transformer windings is in good condition based on the polarization index test with a value of more than 1.25. The tangent delta test aims to determine the quality of the insulation on the transformer. The test results of the tangent delta winding of the test transformer with a value of more than 0.5% state that the insulation conditions on the windings are in bad condition.}
