This is due to the inability of an interconnection system to maintain its stability. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach. Various methods are applied to maintain the stability of the electric power system, one of which is islanding operation using the slow coherence method. The application of this method considers the coherence of the generator. Islanding with the slow coherence method can prevent the island scheme from collapsing because it consists of generators with different rotor angles. Islanding is applied when UFLS(Under Frequency Load Shedding) fails. Islanding operation with slow coherence method is applied to the IEEE 39 Bus system. The island scheme formed consists of three islands. The first island consists of generator 8, generator 9 and generator 10. The second island consists of generator 1, generator 2 and generator 3. The third island consists of generator 4, generator 5, generator 6 and generator 7. The three islands can achieve stability with angle parameters the rotor returns to stable in less than 40 seconds and the frequency is stable and still in accordance with the standard ± 0.5 Hz.} }
