In the substation there is equipment that supports its performance, one of which is a power breaker (PMT). The equipment functions as a breaker and reconnection of the load current under normal or abnormal conditions. Circuit breakers must be regularly maintained, their maintenance includes cleaning and testing. Contact resistance is one of the tests. This test is carried out to determine the resistance value of the PMT contact according to the standard. A high resistance value affects the power loss, because the power loss is the square of the current multiplied by the resistance of the contact. This study was conducted to analyze its effect on power loss and energy loss by comparing the value of contact resistance in 2019 and 2021. The results obtained are very small power losses, namely the highest power loss is the S phase of 2.3637 W or 0.002363 kW in 2019, while the lowest power loss is the T phase in 2019 which is 0,0005083 kW. The contact resistance value also affects the temperature, where the higher the contact resistance value, the higher the flowing temperature, so that the PMT contact can no longer withstand the temperature according to its ability and there is an explosion in the PMT contact and causes an incoming trip that loses up to 6,661 kWh.} }
