Pembangkit Jawa Bali Paiton Power Plant Unit. Power plants are required to be in reliable condition in supplying electricity and improving operations and efficiency. In the power plant unit there is an energy backup system in essential components using batteries, where the battery consists of 2 categories of voltages namely voltage 220 VDC and voltage 125 VDC. The battery backup system must be in good condition, when essential components require energy supply as soon as possible to be supplied by the battery. So the battery testing needs to be done periodically (preventive testing) and dummy load testing to know the capacity, condition and length of time the battery can supply essential components. The method is done using quantitative method by processing dummy load test results and preventive testing. From the test results dummy load on a voltage battery 220 VDC suffered damage as much as 11 battery cells with voltage indicators below nominal voltage and can supply essential components of 1,508.9 Ah with a time of 3 hours 11 minutes on the connected power of essential components of 585 A. In the 125 VDC voltage battery in good condition at the time of dummy load testing obtained a capacity of 1,158.9 Ah with a time of 55 minutes 48 seconds on a connected load of 1240 A. Optimalizing the battery system from the results of battery testing that is damaged is expected to perform battery replacement.} }
