The solution to the electrical energy crisis is the existence of alternative energy sources. Initially PT. Harjohn Timber uses PLTU using wood fuel with a calorific value of 2059 Kcal / kg and coal with a calorific value of 3518 Kcal / kg. PT. Harjohn Timber uses fuel oil waste due to abundant and more economical resources which have a calorific value of 2787 Kcal / kg. As a performance to improve efficiency, there needs to be a calculation of boiler efficiency on the fuel of waste bunches of Palm Oil at each basic load and peak load. With the aim to know the effect of replacement of fuel that used to use wood fuel and coal to use oil palm empty bunches. This efficiency calculation refers to ASME PTC 4.1 standard by using heat loss calculation method. It is known that the efficiency of the boiler using empty palm oil bunches at the base load has an efficiency of 71.12% which is higher than at peak load condition which has only 70.21% efficiency.} }
