Open circuit testing and short circuit testing are tests carried out to find out how much power losses are from the iron core and copper transformer. With the modeling method using MATLAB, it is hoped that it will be easier for technicians to carry out testing. As the transformer ages, this test needs to be carried out so that it can be seen which components require maintenance. In addition, the next goal is for educational purposes where this modeling can be a learning medium for technicians or students who want to learn this test because it is visually easier to understand and does not need to go directly to the field. This model is made using the Simulink feature in MATLAB software. Parameters in the modeling are entered according to the original transformer data. To determine the accuracy of the modeling, the simulation results are compared with the calculation results. Based on the modeling simulation of the Teluk Betung substation transformer, the core losses are 31220 W and copper losses are 248800 W. Open circuit modeling has a 100% match with mathematical results and Short Circuit modeling has a match of 81.40% of mathematical results.} }
