This study aims to see the insulation resistance of the GIS and see the charging current when testing the GIS. The method used is the AC HV Withstand Test which is an electrical test carried out on electrical installation components or equipment to determine the effectiveness of its insulation in meeting the requirements for the ability of the device to operate safely after the equipment is connected to the electric power system. Based on the results of the AC HV Withstand Test, it shows that the tests carried out can be said to be successful and the GIS is feasible to operate because there are no failures such as Breakdown, Spark Over, or Flash Over. And the results of the charging current obtained from the measurements are 0.31 A at a test voltage of 118 kV, then 0.4 A at a test voltage of 150 kV, and 0.74 A at a test voltage of 270 kV. While the results of the charging current obtained from the calculation are 0.740178 A at a test voltage of 270 kV, then 0.41121 A at a test voltage of 150 kV, and 0.32348 A at a test voltage of 118 kV.} }
