Therefore, the transformer must be maintained and receive regular supervision on a regular basis so that it can operate optimally and avoid various disturbances that can interfere and cause the performance of the transformer itself to be reduced. Basically there is a part in the transformer that plays an important role in addition to the auxiliary equipment, the equipment is a breathing apparatus (Dehydrating Breather). As in humans, the respiratory system in the transformer plays a very important and vital role for the sustainability of the performance of the transformer. Transformer breathing system is closely related to transformer insulation oil temperature, air and humidity. And these three things are not infrequently some indicators of disturbances related to the transformer either directly on the transformer breathing system. In this study using comparative analysis methods from several aspects of comparison, namely data acquisition, financial data and environmental data. From the aspect of comparison, data is collected and compared and then analyzed and in the end it becomes a reference for choosing the right type of breathing apparatus for the transformer. And after being seen from these 3 aspects, SDB is the right choice as a transformer breathing apparatus.} }
