Usually the calculation of power loss in the distribution network system is done by using the difference between the energy sold and that received at each feeder. At PT PLN (Persero) ULP Panakukkang. The power loss in January 2020 for the GI Tello feeder with a cross-sectional area of 150 mm² and 70 mm² with a conductor length of 22 km, at morning load the power loss was 13.61% and at night load it was 17.25%. The amount of power loss in January did not reach the performance target / KPI (Key Performance indicator) for the South Makassar UP3 area and there were also large power losses. Therefore, I conducted a study to reduce power loss using the Uprating method (enlarge the cross-sectional area). The cross-sectional areas that I use are 300 mm² and 240 mm². at morning load the percentage value of power loss after uprating is 4.8% and at night load the percentage value of power loss is 6%, at night load the percentage value of power loss has not yet reached the performance target / KPI (Key Performance indicator) UP3 Makassar area South.
