		abstract={Electricity is a energy that is required in human daily life, one of which is at home. Therefore, the program carried out by the government is to declare electricity energy savings. One of the government programs is smart electricity using the Internet of Things (IoT) system. The Internet of Things (IoT) system can monitor remotely and in real time. Therefore, an innovation was made related to this problem. The innovation is the design of an Arduino and IoT based home energy management system for electrical energy efficiency which is implemented in lamp. This design uses the ESP 8266 MCU Node as a data receiver from sensors and data providers to the blynk application and website. This research was done by comparing the power when using HEMS and without using HEMS. Based on the results obtained, this tool can monitor the voltage, current and power of the lamps placed in the dining room with an efficiency level of 16,28 % using HEMS}
