		abstract={Various factors determine population density in Banjarmasin, one of which is birth, death and migration. The problem that occurs is the recording of the number of migrations is still being done manually. The census officer conducts a migration survey by visiting residents' homes where the survey is conducted every 5 years. For this reason, a system for forecasting or projection is needed in order to assist data processing staff so that migration data can be updated annually. besides this system can see the effect of migration factors on the level of population density in the city of banjarmasin. The single exponential smoothing method is a development of the moving average method. In this method forecasting is done by repeating calculations continuously using new data. The results of this forecast are expected to be an effort to help in predicting the amount of migration in the city of Banjarmasin in the future}
