		abstract={Investment is a term with several meanings related to finance and economics. The term relates to the accumulation of an asset in the form of an expectation of future profits. Sometimes, investment is also called as capital investment. This is the opposite of divestment in old assets. Investment is divided into 2 types, namely short-term investments and long-term investments. Stocks are one type of long-term investment that investors choose to invest in. In seeking profits, investors need a media to keep abreast of stock price developments. Gas and coal companies in Indonesia experience a very rapid increase in company performance, which is why many investors are interested in investing in gas and coal companies in Indonesia. In this research an application of the Exponential Moving Average was developed to predict the stock prices of gas and coal companies in Indonesia.
It is hoped that the use of the Exponential Moving Average method can help investors avoid losses and gain profits in investing in stocks}
