The shell and tube type with U pipe is chosen because of its ability to handle high pressure and provides a wide heat transfer area. Steam extraction of turbines as hot fluid flows in the shell, while feed water flows in the tube section. Extraction steam flow is directed by baffle plates. Inside the shell there is a tube bundle containing a collection of heat exchanger pipes. Inside the pipes flow feed water. At the Banten 2 power plant in Labuan, 3 HP Heaters are used and if the HP Heater is out of service, one or all of the heat rate values will increase and the decrease in the efficiency value will occur, in the Banten 2 power plant, the HP Heater 1 & 2 Out of service only HP The in service 3 heater and at that time can be calculated by data that there is an increase in the heat rate on the NPHR which is 417.15 kcal / kWh when the HP Heater 1 & 2 Out of service and the HP Heater All in service so that the use of coal or fuel will be more much of the normal caused by the steam cycle rises and this will be detrimental to the company because the efficiency of the down and heat from the combustion results is not utilized optimally.} }
