		abstract={Problem that happened in PT. Kondang Jaya is there is no forcesting sales that can be used for forcesting the number sales that can determine how many items will be sold in the future in Pt. Kondang Jaya. Currently, PT. Kondang Jaya often went through some lacks, of the raw material for carpet making, because PT. Kondang Jaya can't forcest sales for the next year. Double Exponential Smoothing method can be used to predict sales in the next following year. Based on the data of carpet picture types, prediction can be made for the next following year unit (2018), flower carpet has been obtained with the result 379814,4 cartoon carpet has been obtained with the result 488628,7, sport carpet has been obtained with the result 582918,6 and vector carpet has been obtained with the result 333594. Sample calculation results of flower carpet type with a parameter value ? = 0,1 to ? = 0,9 with the smallest MSE (Mean Square Error) value has been obtained with the result at ? = 0,1 and with the MSE 2811946794. The calculation results for cartoon carpet type with the smallest value has been obtained with ? = 0,1 with the MSE = 5968052742, the calculation results for sport carpet type with the smallest value has been obtained with ? = 0,1 with the MSE = 5593326191, the calculation results for vector carpet with the smallest value has been obtained with ? = 0,1 with the MSE = 1642989243. Based of the results in forcasting calcukations with various alpha values shows that forcesting in 2020 year with alpha 0,9 has the smallest alpha value of 57,80% on the cartoon carpet}
