		abstract={Delay in knowing the illness suffered causes the death due to a
disease. After experiencing a delay in knowing the illness, of course in the
treatment will also experience a delay because it is already worse the disease.
People who suffer from lung health problems tend to ignore the symptoms or
pain they feel until finally the disease gets worse. After the disease gets worse
then the patient conducts an examination at the hospital. This study aims to
help users to know the diagnosis of lung disease early on the basis of
symptoms that are felt so that appropriate treatment can be done in accordance
with the characteristics of the disease in the user. In the application of this
expert system, it is assisted by the Dempster Shafer method. Dempster Shafer
is a mathematical theory for proof based on belief functions and plausible
reasoning, which is used to combine separate pieces of information (evidence)
to calculate the likelihood of an event. On this basis, a system that can help the
user to be able to diagnose lung disease will be made according to the
symptoms found in the user who has the disease.}
